FAZIT
From 2005 until the start of 2009, FAZIT (Forschungsprojekt für Aktuelle und Zukunftsorientierte Informations- und MedienTechnologien und deren Nutzung in Baden-Wuerttemberg – Research Project for Current and Future IT and Media Technologies and Their Use in Baden-Wuerttemberg) has focused on the identification of new markets for innovative IT and media technologies. It also has examined the perspectives for future IT and media trends with a regional relevance.
Taking Baden-Württemberg as an example, FAZIT evolves new approaches by combining high-quality research with statistical investigations. The research scope extends from market analyses and company surveys through case studies and research workshops to Delphi studies, scenario processes and roadmapping.
FAZIT has identified 15 relevant focal topics, among others, IT in healthcare (implantable labs), visualisation and simulation (3D-internet) and IT-based eco-efficiency (towards internet of energy). Its findings are presented continuously, generating important momentum for further research and development thanks to their strong transfer component.
